Brave Trailer + Poster

I am so excited for Pixar's upcoming film "Brave" (2012).
Especially because Cars 2 (though I haven't seen it yet)
was kind of a disappointment to me because of the fact that it was made.
It was the first pixar film to be made all for the money
and not for a truly good movie. Well thankfully pixar has noticed,
so right away they released a trailer and poster for Brave as a way of saying
(I know our movie sucks, but its okay because next year, our movie will be good).
And it does look good. I was a bit upset because it has a very similar
feel to Tangled but really that's not very true. Its just two princess movies.
So Brave is about the Scottish princess Merida and her troubles after trying
to save her fathers kingdom. Since I am now living in France I put "visiting Scotland"
on my list because there is some fantastic scenery in the trailer.
I also think the princess has a great look with some major
shaun white bright red frizzy hair. People on Youtube are already
making comments like "This movie has no soul" and "help! its a ginger!"
Haha, well here is the trailer for brave and i will do my best to

Cowboys and Aliens

Okay, I am more than excited to see this summer movie.
First, it's directed by Jon Favreau, (who I have always liked.)
He did Iron Man (awesome) Iron Man 2 (not half bad) and elf (classic.)
This movie is based on the graphic novel but revved up.
Second, it has Daniel Craig (james Bond) Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones)
and one of the lately growing in popularity stars: Olivia Wilde.
Here are some of my thoughts. I don't think this movie will
be a classic. I doubt this movie is going to be the mark of the start
of a whole new generation of films; i,e Avatar. Not saying it won't be good.
I think it will be sweet, but maybe more for movie parties than life-changing.
This is one of those movie you want on your ipod/ipad. I don't really have
any concerns, but I do hope they do an iconic putting on of the hat for
Harrison Ford like in Indiana Jones. This movie will be all that it should be.
Who knows. Maybe it will be more.

Toy Story 3 Review

Wow. Almost nothing needs to be said.
Pixar. Movie. that's about all.
It rates 2ND place out of the 3 toy stories. 1ST one is just classic.
2ND one is so great and awesome, but yet not as much as this one.
Pixar is a perfectionist company. And they're good at being perfectionists
because they perfect they're films. That's what's so great about it.
Casting already perfected, animation perfected, script perfected.
Every Little detail. Every grain of grass, to every license plate on
every passing car. I was SO good. Definitely see. this.
You probably already have. if not throw this computer out of your hands,
grab a 20 dollar bill and seat your butt in the car and go see this right now.
Those of you that have already seen it (which better be all of you) See it again!
Thats how good it is.
My favorite characters are the drumming monkey, ken doll, and the clown.
I'm not going to give the plot away. Just go see it.

Despicable Me

We got invited to a special viewing of Despicable Me about a week ago. I was SO good.
Awesome animation thats so clean and detailed, great plot, really funny comedy, and good characters.
It's not at all what I expected. I probably rate it 8/10. I'll probably also get it on iTunes when it is released there.
I even liked it better than some pixar films which are my favorites.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! (do not read on if you do not want the plot review. May contain spoilers)

This is about gru. A villain who is feeling under appreciated because of the newer and younger villains
who are turing more evil and smarter than him. He needs a great idea to cause tons of trouble.
He comes up with stealing the moon. Whoa. In order to make this plan work, he'll need a shrink ray
which is currently in the hands of another villain, Vector, who Gru dislikes greatly.
He needs to steal the shrink ray from him and to do that, he uses 3 girls who are selling cookies to Vector.
I won't spoil how he does that.

So after spending lots of time with the girls he begins liking them and he continuously becomes less and less evil.
Thats all I'll give away.

Iron Man 2 and Prince of Persia review

Iron Man 2 was pretty awesome. They did a good mixture of action comedy and suspense. It kept me entertained the whole way through. I haven't seen the first on so If any body else hasn't, I recommend checking out the synopsis on IMDB. I rate it 6.5/10.

Prince of persia was much better than the average video game film. Action packed the whole way through with awesome parkour. 7/10

Now first of all, I didn't see Clash of the Titans or The Bounty Hunter. From the reviews: Don't waste your time on The Bounty Hunter. As for Clash of the Titans, it sounds like it can be upsetting for those who like the 1980's version, but if you going to see it just to see it, I've heard it's epic. I liked DOAWK and HTTYD a lot so go see those! Hubble I've heard from everyone was great too.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid review

This movie exceeded all of my good expectations. It was great! The director Thor Freudenthal did much better than I thought he would. I can relate his middle school to mine. It had a couple of cheesey jokes, yes but it had more really funny ones than the cheesey ones. I thought this was very well casted too. A lot of people reviewing this thinks Zach Gordon, (the kid who plays greg) is too young but actually, he looks about the size of a lot of 6th graders at my school. You don't have to read the books for this movie if you want to enjoy it. You can just go. For those of you who are concerned that the film is nothing like the book, it stays pretty close. I probably rate this movie 7.5/10.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hopes and Concerns

I do have hopes and concerns for this movie so I hope this turns out as a good post.
HOPES: It would be nice if it were close to the book, and it seems like it from the trailer. Another hope is that it won't have the same really cheesey comedy that the director has done before (Hotel For Dogs). I also want a great cast. The casting for this was hard because the book doesn't state any details of what the characters look like. They just had the stick figures to go by. We'll see how they pulled it off.
CONCERNS: This first concern relates to the second hope. I'm concerned it will have that cheesey comedy. I also am concerned this movie is going to be nothing like real middle school which the book kind of is. My final concern is that they'll add in a ton of extra parts that totally mess up the plot which has ruined a lot of movies I've seen. That's all for now!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Theif Review

It actually was not at all as bad as I thought it would be. It had amazing sets, such as mount olympus and the underworld. Of course, the casting was a little off but according to the internet, this was because the film makers wanted this movie series to be as different from Harry Potter as possible, and also to attract a larger audience.
I am a big fan of the series this movie was based on and some parts can be upsetting.
They took out some large contributors of the book and replaced them with other scenes, but I liked how it turned out in the end.
Note: if you have not read the book, this movie can be hard to keep up with at the beginning. It's very fast paced.
If your going to see this movie for your spare time and just for pleasure, you'll like it, if your a big fan of the series, I have no way of telling. I am and I loved the movie, but my sister despised it.
(warning, there can be some scary parts and this film was almost rated PG-13)

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Theif hopes and ALOT OF CONCERNS

Well first of all, in the book, the characters are all about 12 years old. The actor who plays Percy Jackson is 17. The actor who plays grover I think is 25 or 26. Annabeth is about 22.WOW. THE CASTERS PROBABLY DID NOT READ THIS BOOK. Lots of other factual errors from the book. My hopes are that they will get the scenes from the book correct such as the medusa scene, the casino scene, the mattress scene etc. In the trailer, it showed medusa so that scene will probably be their nice and long. Besides the 3 main characters, the rest of the casting looks good. Sets look well made and I love how they did Mount Olympis. Well, I will give a report when it comes out.

This movie looks pretty funny but still I have my concerns. The plot looks interesting and it looks like it has some pretty funny characters, but I really hope that the main criminal doesn't turn out to help everybody and be nice and caring. I really hope that this will be great family movie like then these filmakers have done in the past (i.e. Ice Age, Horton hears a who etc). Now the people who made this did not give away alot about the plot, so you really don't know what to expect. I think it will turn out like a good comedic mystery, but who knows, it could be one of those movies filled with cheesey jokes and such. Well I'll go see this and give a report.

Fantastic Mr. Fox Review

Finally another claymation film! This movie is really funny and great for thanksgiving. It had a fantastic cast and script. This is one of the films that you actually laugh out loud to. Trust me, I did. There were some great scenes that were not originally in the book by Roald Dahl that I actually think benefits the movie. Its basically about a fox, protecting his family and their surrounding animal friends from 3 mean farmers: Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. This movie's style is also fantastic. It's one of those movies that when you walk out of the theatre, you think that you gotta get this on your iPhone and see it again 15 times in the theatres.

Prince of Persia Sands of Time

Okay, this movie looks so sweet. I think Disney wanted another movie for the older kids like Pirates of the Caribbean. This looks perfect. Amazing sets and it's based on a video game. It comes out May 2010. I know, a long time, right? But, just in time for summer vacation on the west coast. (whoo hoo!) Well, enjoy.

Where The Wild Things Are concerns

Now, this movie looks terrific and very well done, But I will be very disappointed if these details occur: One, if they just change the story completely and still bother to say it was based on this beloved book, i will be in awe.That would remind me of the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs film. Yes, a good film but was it anything at all like the book besides the fact that it rained food? No not at all whatsoever. If they do that with Where The Wild Things are, I will be annoyed. Another concern is that they won't include some of the most memorable scenes from the book. Now from the looks of the trailer, it looks pretty good, and I like the style of the film but, if my concerns come true, well, a waste of money in my book.Now I will be so happy if they really capture the feel of Maurice Sendak's book. I also will be really glad if they develop the character of each individual wild thing. I also think it would be great if they have the actor for the mom have a good amount of lines. I would like to see more of her in this. Now at a minimum, I want them to stay a little close to the book. Well,thats my thoughts.

A Christmas Carol Movie!

In honor of October, the beginning of nonstop holidays, I decided to do a post on the upcoming Holiday flick A Christmas Carol! Starring Jim Carrey as scrooge, this movie also features the talent of Robert Zemekis, Director of Back to the future, Forrest Gump, and The Polar Express. This movies animation features incredible detail and it will be shown in 3D. I don't know about you but I'm definitely seeing this.

It's finally out and that means that the theaters are going to be crowded with loads of people waiting to see Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Review

I was really impressed. This is a great family movie and a great story Here's the plot ( I won't give it away.) Sid adopts 3 dinosaur eggs and then, the mom comes. Sid gets lost and It's the others mission to find him. Some new characters are introduced such as Buck (which I know the person in charge of animating him) and Scratette (I think that's how you spell it.) I like the 1st Ice Age best, then 3rd, and then 2nd. Overall, it's a great flick.

So, I know these three guys who work at blue sky studios (the people who make the ice age films) and I got to visit the studio. I got tour and everything. It was awesome. I got to see some unfinished footage of the movie too. Well you can probably guess what the movie is about...dinosaurs come along. It looks pretty dang funny. Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs airs theaters July 4th this summer. Be sure to see it and in the ending credits, look for the names : David Dibble, Hans Dastrup, and Thomas Levitt. Those are the guys I know.

Okay, Up is the next Pixar movie. I LOVE Pixar movies. Just a couple weeks ago , I went to a party launching the Up video game where they let us see about 15 minutes in all of the movie! I'm pretty sure I fainted. Up is about a 77 year old named Carl who had always wanted to see some kind of Island in South America with his wife all his life. But now that his wife had passed away long ago , he doesn't want to do anything. Then a cheerful wilderness explorer name Russel shows up. He still needs to earn his elderly help badge. Well of Course! Russel will help Carl. Now, you need to watch the rest. Up airs theaters on May 29th. Be sure to see it! oh. Here is new image released from the film.

Harry Potter 6 is going to be awesome. You should read the book first though. Harry Potter 6 will be airing in theaters July 17th 2009. This movie centers on Harry Potter. He is learning more and more about voldemorts history. There are deaths and Hogwarts is slowly collapsing . It's rated PG so you will probably be able to see it.

Wow. This movie looks so funny. About an Alien striking on earth and threatening to destroy it.What will everyone do? Yes, make monsters. There is the Missing Link based on the creature from the black lagoon played by Will Arnett. Ginormica, the 50 ft. woman based on Attack of the 50 ft Woman, B.O.B. based on the blob, and Dr. Crockroach which I forgot is based on. And I'm pretty sure there will be a sequel. Airing in theaters on March 27th, 2009.

Madagascar 3

The news is out. Madagascar 3 will be out in 2012. I haven't been posting because I got a new blog at www.stanley-space.blogspot.com I've decided to make this a movie blog. I love this classic ride. All of the glitter and dancing dolls and details and movement. The water cools you off and there is great air conditioning . Its relaxing and slow. As we passed through the ride we tried to name each country. Its great. If you want more about it check Design Mom on Monday. She is crazy about that ride.

Toy Story Mania!

Toy Story Mania : the newest attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios it is really cool. So first you get in line ( it is a big line ) surrounded by toys, just there enormous. For example link'n logs made like the size of a bathroom. Then you get in this cart with little laser/horn shooters. then you go into a 3-D virtual world of ... Im not going to spoil the whole thing!

Space Mountain

First. It is not as bright as it shows in the picture. This ride is so fast and makes the sharpest turns. It is amazing! My favorite ride in all of Disney world. So you get on and go really slowly to the to the entrance of this tunnel. You wait there for about a minute (while I was waiting I was closing my eyes praying that it wouldn't drop like tower of terror) and then it zooms off. It is just an AMAZING ride.
